Music/ Band

The Music/Band program at Holy Spirit Catholic School fosters a lifelong love for music and the arts. It inspires students to appreciate music's beauty and its unifying power, providing support and resources to help them reach their musical aspirations. In 5th grade, students can join the band and learn to play an instrument. In Middle School can choose to continue in the band, join the choir, or participate in general music classes. Middle school students also have the opportunity to take part in our annual fundraising musical, where they can sing, act, and even help with set design and lighting. This hands-on experience allows students to discover their talents both on and off the stage, fostering a deeper appreciation for the performing arts. Through this comprehensive music education, students build a solid foundation in music theory, improve technical skills, and explore diverse genres. This approach helps each student discover their unique voice and find their own path in music.

Piano

In addition to our fantastic music and band program, parents can enroll their child in an individual piano class for a minimal fee. This class occurs once a week during the student's general music class. This opportunity not only enhances their musical abilities but also builds their confidence and stage presence. The individual attention students receive during piano lessons allows them to progress at their own pace, ensuring a personalized learning experience that caters to their unique strengths and interests. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to nurturing each student's potential, offering guidance and support every step of the way. The piano program at Holy Spirit opens up a world of possibilities for young musicians. It encourages creativity, discipline, and a deep appreciation for the art of music. We invite families to witness the growth and passion of our students at the annual recital, a celebration of their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

Art

Students have an opportunity to explore the visual arts weekly as well. They can express their creativity and imagination through various mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art. Our art program is designed to inspire students and help them develop their artistic skills while encouraging self-expression and critical thinking. Through this exploration, they learn about art history and cultural influences, gaining a broader perspective on the role of art in society. The art program at Holy Spirit Catholic School is not just about creating beautiful pieces; it's about building confidence and fostering an appreciation for the arts. Students have the chance to showcase their work in school exhibitions, allowing them to share their talents with others and gain recognition for their efforts.
