Four Houses, One Family

Holy Spirit Catholic School has adapted the Ron Clark Academy (RCA) house system by integrating our Catholic faith. The Ron Clark Academy House System is a dynamic, exciting, and proven way to create a positive climate and culture for students and staff. Inspired by St. Paul’s words in 1 Corinthiand 12:12: “ As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ.”

We are “One Body, Many Parts- Four Houses, One Family. One Mission in Christ!”

In our inaugral year (2026-2027) staff and students were sorted into one of four houses, Altruismo, Amistad, Isibindi, and Reveur.

Houses will participate in bi-monthly meetings, challenges, team building opportunities, Masses, and service each year.

ALTRUISMO

Altruismo, House of Givers

Altruismo traces its origins to the rainforests of the Amazon, where a group of powerful Brazilians were given the name because of its Portuguese meaning: “the Givers.” This special group is known for striking a balance between bold strength and altruistic giving—a team that understands true power comes not from looking out for oneself, but from empowering others. They care deeply about lifting others up, while also maintaining a fiercely competitive spirit and strong sense of pride.

The Holy Spirit Altruismo House is also represented by the following saints, who embody the same characteristics of altruism:

  • St. Katherine Drexel

  • St. Vincent de Paul

  • St. Martin de Porres

AMISTAD

A coat of arms featuring a red shield with crossed keys and a castle, topped with a knight's helmet and a peacock crest, with the word 'AMISTAD' at the bottom.

Amistad, House of Friendship

Amistad is the House that originates from Mexico—a group of kind yet powerful individuals, known mostly for their unconquered spirit. In the language of their ancestry, the name means friendship. Amistad embodies the essence of camaraderie and unity, celebrating the connections that bind us together. Members of the Amistad House are known for their unwavering support and encouragement of one another, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and embraced.

The Holy Spirit Amistad House is also represented by the following saints, who embody the same characteristics of amistad:

  • St. John Paul II

  • St. Teresa of Calcutta

  • St. Rose of Lima

ISIBINDI

Isibindi, House of Courage

Isibindi is a tight-knit group of individuals, akin to a pride of African lions, where family means everything. The House’s symbolic animals, the mute swan and the lion, serve to empower incoming members. While new students might initially be quiet or shy, the longer they are in the House, the more they begin to display characteristics of strength and bravery. In Zulu, Isibindi means ‘courage.’

The Holy Spirit Isibindi House is also represented by the following saints, who embody the same characteristics of isibindi:

  • St. Carlo Acutis

  • St. Maximilian Kolbe

  • St. Jose Sanchez del Rio

  • St. Joan of Arc

Rêveur

A heraldic coat of arms featuring a blue shield with a white unicorn holding a smaller shield with a crescent moon, topped with a knight's helmet, stars, and the text 'RundefinedVEUR' at the bottom.

Rêveur is a royal House whose name in French means ‘dreamers’ or ‘idealists’—because the members who fill this group are students filled with freedom and wild abandon, recognizing their dreams and letting nothing stand in the way of achieving them. This spirit is embodied in the unicorn, situated at the center of the House’s crest—a powerful creature almost impossible to tame. Similarly, the House of Rêveur is a House of passion.

The Holy Spirit Rêveur House is also represented by the following saints, who embody the same characteristics of rêveur:

  • St. John Bosco

  • St. Teresa of Avila

  • St. Faustina Kowalska

  • St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin
